Velvet Revolver-The Last Fight:歌詞+中譯。終結苦痛的最後一戰
Velvet Revolver 於 2007年 所發佈的歌曲〈The Last Fight〉，
收錄在他們的第二張（也是最後一張）錄音室專輯《Libertad》中。
這首歌在當時的搖滾圈引起不小的震動，
畢竟那是主唱 Scott Weiland 在藥癮與
自我救贖之間掙扎的真實寫照。
這首歌的歌詞極具個人色彩。Scott Weiland 曾透露，
這首歌的靈感來自於他親弟弟 Kevin 因為藥物過量去世後，
他內心深處的悔恨與對生命的渴望。
歌詞中提到的「回到了牢房（back in jail）」與「做苦牢（doin' time）」，
不僅僅是指他真的蹲過苦窯，
更多的是隱喻他被毒癮囚禁的靈魂。
這首歌的旋律由吉他之神 Slash 操刀，
這首歌雖然是在講「最後一戰」，
但聽起來更像是一個男人在廢墟中重新站起來的過程。
製作人 Brendan O'Brien 巧妙地平衡了
Scott 那種略帶迷幻的唱腔與 Slash 粗獷的吉他 Riff，
讓整首歌聽起來充滿了救贖感。
當年聽這首歌的時候，正處於社會歷練最煎熬的階段。
男人嘛，總有些時候覺得自己像是困在籠子裡的野獸，
想找點什麼來相信（beg for somethin' to believe），
卻發現家譜（family tree）救不了你，只有你自己能救自己。
台語說「性命是咱自己的」，這首歌就是要告訴你：
