Cyndi Lauper（辛蒂露波） 於 1984 年
所發佈的歌曲 〈Time After Time〉，
收錄在她那張震驚世人的首張專輯《She's So Unusual》中。
根據 Wikipedia 的記載，
這首歌是 Cyndi 與 The Hooters 樂團的 Rob Hyman 共同創作的。
當年這首歌在美國告示牌百強單曲榜
（Billboard Hot 100）直接摘下冠軍，
成為她職業生涯最重要的代表作之一。
說起這首歌的誕生，背後有個很有趣的小故事。
根據 Genius 的歌詞含意介紹，
歌名「Time After Time」其實是 Cyndi 在雜誌《TV Guide》
上看到一部 1979 年同名科幻電影的標題，
她覺得這名字太有感覺了，就決定拿來當歌名。
而當時她跟 Rob Hyman 在錄音室裡
其實正處於一種「創作的火花」中，
據說兩人當時甚至有點純純的曖昧，
那種想抓卻抓不住的情感，全都寫進了歌裡。
根據 Rolling Stone 的報導，
這首歌的 MV 也非常催淚，
描述一個女孩離開家鄉、離開愛人去追夢的過程。
MV 結尾她在火車站與男友道別的那一幕，
配上歌詞「If you fall, I will catch you」，
簡直是當年的催淚彈。
而在流行文化中，這首歌最經典的
引用莫過於 1997 年的電影《阿珠與阿花》
（Romy and Michele's High School Reunion），
那段三人共舞的畫面，讓這首歌又紅了一整代人。
我這輩子聽過無數版本的翻唱（連爵士大師 Miles Davis 都翻唱過！），
但還是覺得辛蒂那略帶沙啞、
卻又充滿張力的嗓音最對味。
