這首歌的誕生其實幾經波折才讓世人聽見，
最後是靠著一部不算大製作的電影【奪標】，
才讓這首歌廣為人知。
然而我國小時，老師都會放這首歌給大家聽，
當然是聽不懂這首歌在唱什麼，
只覺得很沉悶，長大後真正讓我覺得這首歌很有感覺的，
是電影【燕尾蝶】，由飾演固力果的日本女歌手Chara唱的My Way。
這首歌也是貫穿整部電影的重要元素...

大家抱著夢想發財的夢想前往所謂的錢都，

這些人男的只能當苦力，女的只能賣去當妓女，
(我覺得很厲害的是大家幾乎都會中英日三種語言...。)
這是個很有深度的電影，當年看了兩三次才看得懂，
然後有了年紀後，再看感覺又不一樣了。
那情感的震撼感至今仍有餘盪。
我很喜歡那種感覺，
不同的人為了生活在社會的最底層打滾，
為了生活做了很多蠢事，有共通的夢想與理想。
雖然都是天方夜譚，但很快樂。

人所堅持自己所走的道路，
最後不一定能成功，
就像這部電影裡的每個人，
都是從爛泥巴裡打滾出身，
最後也不是每個都有好下場或是好結果，總有些人會失敗。
但總得堅持自己的堅持，
這就是My Way了。
