MIKA - Popular Song ft. Ariana Grande：歌詞+中文翻譯

MIKA 於 2013年 所發佈的歌曲《Popular Song》，

是收錄在他第三張錄音室專輯

《The Origin of Love》中的重量級單曲。

這首歌最狂的地方在於，

它大膽取樣了百老匯經典音樂劇《女巫前傳》（Wicked）中的著名唱段《Popular》。

當時 MIKA 特地找來音樂劇原作者 Stephen Schwartz 授權，

並將原本帶點「教導社交禮儀」的俏皮風格，

魔改成了一首充滿力量、

向霸凌者開火的「正義讚歌」。

這首歌的單曲版邀請了當時還在 Nickelodeon 演戲、

剛要轉型當歌手的「小亞莉」Ariana Grande 獻聲。

兩人的聲音契合度簡直是天作之合！

根據 MIKA 後來的採訪，

他寫這首歌是為了釋放自己中學時期被霸凌的陰影。

而歌詞中提到的「現在你在電影院賣爆米花，

而我的歌成了萬人迷」，簡直是史上最優雅、

最痛快的復仇宣言。

有趣的小八卦是，這首歌的 MV 風格非常「亞當斯一家」

（The Addams Family），充滿了哥德式的黑色幽默。

MV 描述兩個被邊緣化的學生，

邀請那些曾經排擠他們的「風雲人物」參加晚餐，

最後把他們全變成了石頭。這種「浪漫的復仇」與強烈的情感張力，

讓這首歌在當年成為無數被邊緣化青少年的精神糧食！

"Popular corn": 這邊是個非常幽默的雙關。

原本歌曲取樣自《Wicked》裡的 "Popular"，

而 MIKA 故意把那些霸凌者寫成在電影院賣「Popular corn」

（其實就是 Popcorn 爆米花 的幽默說法），

諷刺那些以前覺得自己很紅的人，

長大後只能在基層賣零食，

對比 MIKA 自己的 "Popular song"，

這諷刺力道簡直是滿分！

"Personality dialysis": 雖然這句在 MIKA 版被簡化，

但原曲是指「人格洗滌」。

在 MIKA 的語境裡，這首歌就是一場心靈的徹底排毒，

把那些過去被欺凌的負能量，

透過這首充滿節奏感的音樂徹底排掉。

Ariana 的笑聲: 在歌曲中段（約 1:43 處），

Ariana 有一段非常自然的笑聲。

據說是因為當時錄音室的製作人故意在她的

耳機裡講了一些非常限制級的笑話，

結果這個真實的情緒反應就被保留在歌曲裡了，

反而增加了那種「看透一切」的灑脫感。
