Train (火車樂團) 於 2016 年
所發布的歌曲 〈Play That Song〉，
是他們第十張錄音室專輯
《a girl, a bottle, a boat》的首波主打。
這首歌一出來，老樂迷一定會覺得這旋律「聽起來真面熟」。
沒錯，這首歌的神來之筆，
就是取樣了 1938 年的經典鋼琴名曲
〈Heart and Soul〉（由 Hoagy Carmichael 作曲）。
根據 Wikipedia 與 Billboard 的報導，
主唱 Pat Monahan 當時想做一首讓人感到快樂、
不自覺想跳舞的歌。
他們把那段全世界小孩學鋼琴都必彈的簡單旋律，
重新注入了現代的流行靈魂。
這首歌在 Billboard Adult Contemporary 榜單上表現極佳，更
在多國拿下了白金唱片認證。
這證明了經典旋律加上一點新意，
就像老歌新唱一樣，
還是能讓年輕人買單。
歌詞裡那個男人，為了讓心儀的女孩開心，
在那邊求 DJ、求吉他手「趕快播那一首歌」，
這種「愛到卡慘死」的積極度，真的讓人看了想笑。
那句「Get me off the hook」更是妙，
這不只是求救，還帶點「幫我搞定這妹子」的暗示。
