Gloria Gaynor 於 1978 年所發佈的這首《I Will Survive》，

不只是一首迪斯可舞曲，

它根本是全球受壓迫靈魂的「獨立宣言」，

更是 LGBTQ+ 族群的國歌。

這首歌在 1980 年獲得了葛萊美獎唯一的

「最佳迪斯可錄音獎」（Best Disco Recording），

這個獎項後來就被取消了，

所以它真的是前無古人、後無來者的經典。

這裡有個一定要知道的超大八卦：

這首紅遍宇宙的神曲，原本竟然只是 B 面單曲（B-side）！

當時唱片公司主打的是 A 面的《Substitute》，

結果電台 DJ 們一聽 B 面這首：

「夭壽喔，這首才會紅啦！」紛紛倒戈狂播，

最後這首歌直接衝上排行榜冠軍，

把 A 面那首遠遠甩在後面。

這故事告訴我們，是金子總會發光，

是好歌總會讓人想跳舞。

還有一個小故事，錄這首歌的時候，

Gloria Gaynor 其實剛動完脊椎手術（因為在舞台上跌倒），

她是戴著護具、忍著背痛，

還要扶著麥克風架才能站著錄完這首歌的。

這也難怪她唱那句 "I will survive"（我會活下去）的時候，

那個氣場強大到可以震碎玻璃，

因為她是真的在用生命跟痛楚對抗啊！

剛分手時哭得死去活來，聽到這首歌，

眼淚擦一擦，妝補一補，馬上變身成「鈕祜祿·甄嬛」。

歌詞裡那種對前任（不管是渣男還是渣女）的不屑：
