Two story town
這是一個極其精彩的雙關語（Pun）。
"Story" 在英語中既指「故事、劇本」，
也指「樓層」。Jon 在這裡諷刺城市裡每個人都有兩套說法：
表面的光鮮亮麗（One side of the story）以及
背後的骯髒真相（The other side）。
這也反映了當時美國社會表面繁榮，
底層卻漸漸腐敗的兩極化現狀。
Roses and American pie
這裡引用了 1971 年 Don McLean 的經典歌曲〈American Pie〉。
在搖滾語境中，「American Pie」常象徵著純粹、理想化的美國夢。
