The Ready Set 於 2010 年所發佈的歌曲〈Love Like Woe〉，
是這位來自美國印第安納州的音樂才子 Jordan Witzigreuter 的成名代表作。
這首歌當年不僅在 Billboard Hot 100 衝到了第 27 名，
更在美國奪下白金唱片認證，
成為 2010 年代初期 Electropop（電子流行）與 Synth-pop 浪潮中，
最具辨識度的「洗腦神曲」之一。
這首歌由當時火紅的王牌製作人 J.R. Rotem 操刀
（開頭那個標誌性的 "J-J-J-J-R" 標籤就是他的印記），

註解補記
1. "She's got a love like woe"
這裡用了雙關語的趣味。
英文裡的 "Woe" 代表「悲哀、苦難」，
但聽起來跟這首歌裡洗腦的發聲詞 "Whoa" 極其相似。
這句歌詞一語雙關地表達了這段感情：
聽起來很 High，但實際上當事人愛得很「慘」。
在台灣話裡，這就是典型的「愛到卡慘死」，
明知是坑還要跳。
2. "J-J-J-J-J-R"
這是 2010 年前後非常流行的「製作人標籤（Producer Tag）」。
J.R. Rotem 當時是流行樂壇的點金手，
Sean Kingston 的〈Beautiful Girls〉跟
Jason Derulo 的〈Whatcha Say〉開頭都有這個聲音。
這也證明了 The Ready Set 當時被唱片公司寄予厚望，
直接請到最頂級的商業製作人來打造這首電音流行樂。
3. "I think you're a pretty sweet pill that I'm swallowing down"
這是一個很經典的愛情隱喻。
將戀人比喻成「藥丸（Pill）」，
代表對方既是痛苦的來源，
也是唯一的救贖（Addiction）。
"Sweet pill" 翻譯成台灣慣用語就是「糖衣毒藥」，
雖然知道吃下去會有副作用、會上癮，
但因為那是甜的，所以甘願受罪。
4. "Kick it into gear when I see that face"
"Kick it into gear" 是賽車或駕駛術語，
代表「切換排檔、加速前進」。
這裡 Jordan 巧妙運用了 Verse 2 裡面的
賽車意象（Speed train, moving car, fast lane），
形容一看到對方的臉，心跳就像引擎拉高轉速一樣，
整個人進入亢奮狀態，
完全無法克制想追上去的衝動。
