Queen (皇后合唱團) 於 1995年 所發佈的歌曲〈Made In Heaven〉，
是他們最後一張由傳奇主唱 Freddie Mercury
參與的同名錄音室專輯中的標題曲。
這首歌聽起來就像是 Freddie 在天堂對人間的最後回眸，
但其實它的身世相當曲折且感人。
根據 Rolling Stone 與樂團的歷史檔案，
這首歌最早其實是收錄在 Freddie Mercury 於 1985年
發行的個人單曲專輯《Mr. Bad Guy》中。
那時候的 Freddie 正試圖證明自己不只是 Queen 的主唱，
而是一個獨立的超級巨星。
然而，命運弄人，在他於 1991 年因愛滋病併發症過世後，
留下的成員 Brian May、Roger Taylor 和 John Deacon
決定重啟這些珍貴的錄音素材。
這首 1995 年的 Queen 版本，是在 Freddie 離世四年後，
由團員們將他 1985 年的原始人聲軌道提取出來，

註解補記
"Made in heaven"
這是一個雙關語（Double Entendre）。
在英文慣用語中，"A match made in heaven"
指的是「天作之合」或「完美的搭配」。
但在這張專輯的語境下，由於是 Freddie 過世後發行的作品，
這個詞帶有強烈的宗教與身後色彩，
彷彿這首歌、這張專輯，甚至 Freddie 本人，
都已經屬於「天堂」了。
"Playing my role in history"
Freddie Mercury 在 1985 年寫下這句歌詞時，
可能指的是他在樂壇的野心。
但到了 1995 年，當這首歌作為他的遺作發行時，這句話變得極具重量。
