Ed Sheeran 於 2017 年所發佈的歌曲《Galway Girl》，
收錄在他那張紅遍大街小巷的超級大碟《÷》(Divide) 之中。
這首歌的誕生過程其實挺有意思的。
根據 Billboard 與 Rolling Stone 的報導，
Ed 當時在愛爾蘭錄音，他非常痴迷於愛爾蘭當地的民謠氛圍，
於是找來了愛爾蘭民謠團體 Beoga 合作。
雖然唱片公司的主管曾質疑
「民間音樂與流行樂結合」會不會太土，
但 Ed 堅持己見，結果這首歌在愛爾蘭直接空降冠軍，
在英國也拿下了第一名。
講到這首歌的「女主角」，
當時全網都在搜到底是哪位正妹。
其實這首歌的靈感來源是 Beoga 樂團的
小提琴手 Niamh Dunne。不過八卦來了，
Niamh 本人後來在受訪時笑著澄清，
她根本不是高威（Galway）人，
她是利默里克（Limerick）人，
而且錄音當時她早就名花有主（結婚了）！
Ed 只是借用了她的形象與才華，
寫出這段虛構但浪漫到不行的邂逅。
最無厘頭的莫過於這首歌的 MV。
Ed 找來了奧斯卡影后 Saoirse Ronan（瑟夏·羅南）擔綱演出，
MV 中有一幕是她要幫 Ed 刺青「Galway Girl」，
結果這位影后超級調皮，
故意在草稿上寫成「Galway Grill」（高威燒烤店），
而刺青師就真的照著刺下去了！
Ed 後來在演唱會上秀出那個「燒烤店」刺青時，
全場都快笑瘋了。
這首歌完美演繹了什麼叫做「酒後亂...性？不，是酒後真情」。
在酒吧遇見一個能喝酒、
能拉琴、打飛鏢還能電爆你的女孩子，
這才是正港的「浪漫」。
這首歌裡提到的 Jamie（詹姆森威士忌）、
Jack（傑克丹尼）、Arthur（健力士啤酒的創辦人），
全是愛爾蘭酒館的靈魂，聽著聽著都想「喝兩杯」了。
