Michael Jackson於1991年的歌曲，90年代初期，爆發了波灣戰爭，
徹底的挑起了人類自二戰後第一場大規模聯盟戰爭，

這首歌的背景與 MJ 當時成立的
「治癒世界基金會」（Heal the World Foundation）息息相關。
1990 年代初期，世界正處於波斯灣戰爭後的動盪與環境危機中，
MJ 在他位於 Neverland 樂園的「奉獻樹」上寫下了這些旋律，
