註解補記
「Bite the dust」的含義
這句英文俚語字面意思是「咬到塵土」，
實際上是指「倒下死去」或「慘敗」。
在西部片或戰爭片中，
人倒地時臉部朝下接觸地面，就會「吃灰」。
Queen 用這個詞來形容生活中那些試圖擊垮你、
或是被你擊敗的競爭對手與困難。
貝斯旋律的爭議與啟發
這首歌極具中毒性的貝斯 Riff
常被拿來與迪斯可天團 Chic 的名曲 〈Good Times〉 比較。
John Deacon 坦承他深受當時黑人音樂律動的影響。
這種將「硬搖滾」與「黑人放克（Funk）」融合的嘗試，
在 1980 年代初是非常大膽且前衛的實驗，
這也證明了 Queen 從不給自己設限。
從「搖滾」到「迪斯可」的轉折
