"I don't wanna just make love, I wanna make love last"
這句是全曲的靈魂。在西洋流行樂中，
"make love" 通常直指身體的結合，
但 Kelly Clarkson 在這裡接了一個 "last"（持續、持久），
瞬間將層次從肉體的激情昇華到心靈的承諾。
這反映了成熟男女在親密關係中的渴望：
